Backend Engineer (Python + Django)
We are growing Chanakya AI and looking for a backend engineer who can own APIs, write clean code, and work closely with product and frontend to ship fast.
What you will work on:
- •Building and scaling REST APIs using Python + Django / DRF
- •Designing database models and queries (PostgreSQL preferred)
- •Integrating with AI services, OCR, and internal microservices
- •Handling background jobs, queues, and performance optimisations
- •Writing tests, improving reliability, and contributing to architecture decisions
What we are looking for:
- •2 to 5 years of experience in backend development
- •Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django / Django REST Framework
- •Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
- •Good understanding of API design, auth and permissions
- •Bonus: Celery, Redis, Docker, cloud, or any AI / ML exposure
